Wind

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Wind interferes with the circulation of our protective Qi. Wind can easily invade us after sweating or while we are sleeping.

Characteristics of wind may include

  • Rapid onset
  • Rapid changes
  • There is movement
  • Affecting the top part of the body
  • Often affects the lungs first
  • Affects the skin
  • Other influences can invade via wind

Symptoms of Wind may include
Aversion to wind or cold, headache, sneezing, cough, itchy skin, occipital ache, itchy throat, facial puffiness, joint stiffness or pain, dizziness, vertigo, possible fever and sweating, deviation of the mouth and eyes, hemiplegia, tremors, convulsions, numbness, and unconsciousness.
