Minor Blue Perilla is a Chinese herbal formula used for congestion of the sinuses and lungs. Minoe Blue Perilla is very useful for symptoms of sneezing, watery discharge, thin or thick sputum/mucus that is clear or white in color. Helps asthma and coughing.
Minor Blue Perilla is based on the traditional formula Xiao Qing Long Tang, and does not contain ma huang.
Sinus congestion is produced by local irritation of the sinuses, because of changes in blood circulation in the head, and congestion of fluids in the upper body. Cold-type congestion is watery in nature and may be accompanied by chills, pallor, and excessive fluid discharge, including watery eyes.
Perilla (Zi Su Ye) is a warming herb that disperses cold. It is traditionally used for cough, chills, headache, and nasal congestion. It is also used for nausea, vomiting and poor appetite. Ginger (Gan Jiang) in Minor Blue Perilla dispels cold and removes excessive moisture. Schizandra (Wu Wei Zi) and Pinellia (Ban Xia) provide strong allergy-inhibiting activity.
